Tzezar Bankner was born in Warsaw. He studied medicine in Beirut. With the outbreak of World War I, he came to Egypt where he joined the Muleteers regiment. He made his way with the regiment to the front at Gallipoli. When he married Yael Abulafiah, they left for Australia (1923), where he worked for a businessman in New Castle. Later, he was a partner in a health food business in Sydney. He died young and was brought for burial in Australia
